Fractal Media is run by two brothers with a complementary set of skills and a shared passion for storytelling. Raised in a small town in Mexico, they learned the values of resourcefulness and dedication from working in the family restaurant from an early age. After pursuing their educations in the United States, these same values have allowed them to achieve expertise in the creative media and data-driven operations.
Executive Creative Producer, Arlo Pérez Esquivel is a filmmaker and science communicator. He is best known for co-hosting Antarctic Extremes, a series that lets viewers discover how science is done in one of the world’s most extreme climates. He won a 2021 AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Award for his video about the underreporting of COVID-19 cases in his Mexican hometown, Uruapan. He is also responsible for the PBS Digital Studios series Out of Our Elements, a nine-part digital series that breaks down chemistry and makes it accessible to anyone. Arlo holds a B.A. in political science and film from Boston College.
Coordinating Producer, Dante Pérez Esquivel is an operations manager who specializes in translating strategy into impact through the innovative use of data and process to deliver results. As a business operations lead at Google, his approach draws from extensive public sector experience and private sector exposure. Dante has had the opportunity to work for city government, consult for multiple state governments through the multinational Deloitte and serve roles in both the U.S. and Mexican federal governments. Dante has a B.A. in International Relations from Lewis & Clark College and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University.
